| Well...I'm some what feeling a little better than I was a couple days ago. I guess all i needed was some time alone. Two nights ago i went to the beach to relax and allow my head to think straight and I accidently fell asleep on the beach for a good 3 hours; waking up at around 1:00 AM. It's a good thing nobody mugged me because i was out cold. Listening to the waves crashing, watching the stars above, and feeling the wind blowing across my face was so peaceful and I guess i couldn't help but take a nap. | | |
| ...I haven't been myself for the last couple of days. I've been feeling both confused and sad at the same time and it's a strange feeling to me because i've never felt this way in my entire life. Can't explain why i'm feeling this way, but hopefully it will go away pretty soon. Sigh...... | | |
| ...Well, I’m officially an Inroads / CSX Transportation intern now. Normally, interns for CSX are stationed to work in the Corporate Building stationed here in Jacksonville, FL. However, I was the one and only intern that they selected to spend the summer internship up in Canada. With all expenses paid for, I will have the opportunity to travel by train up to Montreal, Canada to work on some APU (auxiliary power units) for locomotives along with some other good stuff. All and all, it will be a great experience to have hands-on training instead of being stationed in the corporate building and doing nothing. I’m getting paid $8.25 per hour at my current job at Winn-Dixie and CSX will be paying me 2 xs as much so you do the math. It has been a long process to acquire this internship but I know that it was well worth it. | | |
| Well, I just got back from my inroads interview and i'd say that i
literally knocked them dead. Right now they are setting me up for an
interview with both CSX Transportation and Vistakon for an internship
in the field of Mechanical Engineering. If all goes well,
starting pay will between around $15-$20 an hour. The interview should
be scheduled sometime this week so wish me luck. Later | | |
